Hi, I’m Kirsty, the founder of Quay to Success Dog Training. As a dog trainer, my approach is rooted in kindness, patience, and a deep understanding of what it’s like to live with dogs in the city. My journey started with my cheeky Maltese, Dylan, who, like many small city dogs, presented unique challenges. He was reactive to other dogs, would bark at anything he could see out of the window, and simply dreaded walks. To make matters worse, he wouldn’t eat, and I was left stressing over how to manage his anxiety and build his confidence in the midst of city chaos.
Living in an apartment, I quickly realised that I wasn’t alone. Many dog owners in the city face similar struggles: dogs who bark excessively, chew furniture, or become overwhelmed by the distractions of urban life. Whether you’re renting and worried about losing your deposit or just trying to manage your dog’s stress in a busy city, I’ve been there. And I understand how it feels.
Over time, I’ve developed a deep understanding of how to train dogs in small spaces. I’ve worked with some of the naughtiest dogs, helping them become calm, confident, and well-behaved in challenging environments. My training approach is all about kindness, ethical methods, and creating a training plan that works for your dog—whether it’s dealing with barking out of the window, the dreaded walks, or chewing up the skirting boards in rented homes. It’s about finding real solutions for urban dog owners, just like you, who want a happy, healthy, well-adjusted dog.
I know the stress of having a dog who struggles in an apartment, but with the right tools and strategies, it’s possible to have a peaceful home and a dog who thrives in the city. My goal is to help you create that balance and build a strong, positive relationship with your dog that will last.
My name is Kirsty
